Athletes and Parents,

LA County released updated Guidance for Youth Sports this past week.

Here are the most important changes for CASTAIC

.

Students and coaches competing in athletics must be tested once a week (instead of within 72 hours of a game). Currently this applies to BASEBALL among other sports. All unvaccinated student athletes participating in the sports listed above will test the week of a competition.

Baseball will be every Wednesday at 7th period at the gym.

Students and coaches who are fully vaccinated do not need to test weekly.

Individuals who have previously tested positive for Covid should not test for 90 days after their initial positive test as long as they have no symptoms (because they will likely continue to test positive).

If there is a positive case on a team, all players, staff/coaches/volunteers, regardless of vaccination status, are required to have a weekly negative test result for two weeks from exposure to the case and must test negative prior to competitions.

If you have registered for testing in the past, you do not need to do it again.

If you have not yet registered your student for testing, here is the link
